At its core, Kennedy Mechanical, Inc. is a family business. Founded in 1979 by Richard and Ann Cassidy, our company was originally named Cassidy Plumbing & Heating, Inc. The business started out of the Cassidy’s garage with one station wagon and a desire to provide customers across the Rochester area with superior plumbing and heating services.

Within our first year of business, we had bought our first service van and hired our first employee, Guy Slack. We also outgrew the family garage and moved the family and business to a home with five acres and a barn on Browncroft Boulevard in Penfield. Our business flourished at this location from 1979 to 1990 by building a reputation for quality, reliable service at a fair price.
