When Annie Adams met Marisa Krol from Interstellar Love Craft last August, they discussed working on a project together. Less than a year later, that project was born: the third location of Second Chic opened next to McCann’s Local Meats at 739 South Clinton Avenue. Adams has opened two locations of her popular thrift store in Buffalo and was looking to open a third location. The location on South Clinton boasts 2,700 square feet of retail space on the first floor and 700 square feet of retail space on the second. The boutique sells both women and men’s second-hand clothing and accessories and exclusively sells Interstellar Love Craft and Inner Loop Design Co. jewelry. Krol, and her business partner Amber Dutcher of Inner Loop Design Co., created The Adorned Studios and use the second floor as their studios and offer classes there as well. What sets Second Chic apart from other thrift stores is “customer service,” says Adams. “We look like a boutique, we’ll start a dressing room for you, we organize items by color, it’s easy to come in and shop.” Second Chic is currently open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and noon to 4 p.m. on Sunday.
